This is a great split pair fossil fish from the Cretacous of Morocco. This unidentified (undescribed?) fish is complete and wonderfully articulated. The detail of this large fish is quite nice. The bone structure is clearly defined, and the fins and tail are wonderfully displayed. The natural, red-brown color of the fish contrasts beautifully with the orange-colored matrix. The fossil is well showcased on the plate of limestone - and both halves of the split pair are present and offered together. And there is no restoration or color added to this fabulous fish - WOW! This is an excellent part/counterpart specimen of this unusual fish from Africa.
