Here is a very fine, large fossil shark tooth from South Carolina. This is a beautiful Carcharocles megalodon from the Miocene River Deposits. This large tooth has a very solid and substantial root, and the sharp serrations are still intact and easily seen on both sides of the tooth. The tip of the tooth exhibits a small amount of feeding damage, which is quite cool. This tooth also has fabulous natural color and is very thick and 3-dimensional. The shiny enamel is well preserved on both sides of the robust tooth. And at five inches long, it is a very impressive fossil tooth. This is a very collectible specimen of a fossilized shark tooth from the ancient version of ''Jaws''.
