This is a very nice multiple plate of fossil fish from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. We counted EIGHT complete and partial Knightia eocaena on the rock. The fossils exhibit fine detail - the eye sockets are easily seen, and the bone structure of the fish is quite evident. The fins and tails are also nicely intact. The fossils have excellent color and contrast and are artistically, but naturally, scattered about the very large matrix plate. This is a very displayable grouping of many fossil fish on a large display plate of shale.
