This is an unusual find from the area in China that produces the feathered dinosaurs. It is a complete Hyphalosaurus from Liaoning Province, China. This dinosaur-like reptile is similar to both a Keichousaur and a Mesosaur. This type has a semi-ovate head, whereas a Keichousaur has a more triangular head, and a Mesosaur has a very elongate head. This specimen has all four limbs preserved. The legs even have the digits and claws intact, which is rare for this type. The neck, body, and LONG tail are also very well articulated. The reptile displays well on the circular matrix that has been implanted on a squared plate for optimal display. This is a very detailed dinosaur-like fossil from the same area where the feathered dinosaurs were discovered.
