Here is a fabulous fossil shark tooth. This is a beautiful Otodus obliquus tooth from the Eocene of Morocco. This tooth is very distinct. The root of the tooth is extremely robust. The tooth has great enamel, and both of the small cusps on the side of the tooth are intact. The tooth is still embedded in the large plate of matrix. The large tooth is well preserved and wonderfully displayed. This is an excellent example of an Extinct Mackerel shark tooth in matrix.
