This is a fine fossilized Great White Shark tooth. It is a cool Carcharodon carcharias tooth from the Miocene of Chile. This species is the same type as today's modern Great White Shark. This specimen is very well preserved and exhibits very fine detail. The root of the tooth is quite solid and robust. The large, SHARP serrations are easily seen. The enamel has gorgeous, natural coloration. This is a nice example of a Great White Shark tooth fossil from South America.
