This is a very beautiful specimen of Phareodus testis from the Green River Formation. The fossil fish has excellent orange color and contrasts extremely well with the cream-colored matrix. The fish displays incredible detail - the teeth are well exhibited and the scale pattern is easily seen (rare). The specimen is nicely showcas on the large plate of shale. This is a very displayable specimen of this predatory fish from Wyoming.
