This is an absolutely fabulous fossilized shark tooth. It is a HUGE Carcharocles megalodon shark tooth from Aurora, North Carolina. Megalodon teeth from North Carolina are very scarce, to say the least, but ones of this size and quality are almost never found. This specimen comes directly from a majot shark tooth collection. The overall quality of this tooth is simply top notch. The very tip is intact and pointy, and the serrations are fully intact and razor-sharp. In other words, the serrations and tip of this tooth are 99.9% perfect! The root is very solid and robust, and is extemely thick and 3-dimensionally preserved. The classic blond coloration of the enamel is wonderfully displayed - it is simply beautiful. If you were to have just one fossil shark tooth in your collection, this specimen would be an excellent choice, a no-brainer. It is one of those special fossils that turns the heads of fellow collectors.
