This is a very unusual pair of fossil leaves. There is a wonderful Zizyphoides flabellum (Katsura Tree) leaf (left) and a distinct Fraxinus eocenica (Ash) leaf on the plate. The leaves have great shape - the reticulation and venation are clearly seen. The natural color makes for a striking display. The beautiful leaves are well showcased on the large plate of shale. This is a very unusual pair of fossil leaves from an unusual location in Montana.
