This is a very uncommon fossil leaf. It is a beautiful Rhamnus cleburni (Buckthorn) Leaf from a new find in the Paleocene of Montana. This specimen has a great natural shape - the serrations and venation are very clearly seen. The fabulous color makes for a striking display. The large leaf is well showcased on the rectangular plate of shale. This is a wonderful example of a rare leaf from an unusual location in Montana.
