This is an unusual fossil fish. It is a large Gasterosteus doryssus from Nevada. This fish is a Stickleback - quite unusual in the fossil record. The fish is complete and has excellent detail preserved. The fish is well displayed on the squared plate of diatomaceous earth. This is a fine example of this unusual fossil Stickleback from the Pliocene.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
