Large Museum Quality Dinosaur Track from PA

Age:  Triassic
Formation:  Passaic Formation
Location:  Limerick, Pennsylvania
Size: Track is 6.5 inches, plate is 13 inches tall

Specimen SSA631

This is a large example of a textbook dinosaur trace fossil. It is a fine Atreipus(?) sp. from the Jurassic of Pennsylvania. Dinosaur tracks have been found in Pennsylvania before, not not usually this complete. This track wonderfully exhibits the three-toed nature of the dinosaur's foot - the claw impressions are even preserved. The track is quite large and is extremely well centered on the large, squared plate of matrix - a perfect display! This is an extremely collectible example of a large, displayable dinosaur track from the Keystone State.
