This is an extremely rare plate of leaves from Russia. There leaves of both Taxodium dubium (top) and Parrotia pristina (bottom) from Doly Bilina. The Taxodium (Cypress) fronds are very well preserved and finely detailed - the individual needles are very easily seen. The overall form of the fronds is nicely intact presented. The leaves has great natural color and display beautifully on the yellow-tan matrix that also contains plant fossils on the back side. This is a fabulous association of these extremely hard-to-find leaves from this very obscure location.
