Spectacular Multiple Bundenbach Brittlestar Plate

This is a fabulous grouping of fossil brittlestars. It is a great triple Furcaster palaeoziocus from the famous Bundenbach slate quarries of Germany. Since the quarries have closed, the only way to acquire specimens is from old collections - this specimen IS from an old German collection. The large brittlestars are extremely well preserved - they have all five LONG arms prominently displayed. All three 'stars have extremely fine detail and display in very unique, aesthetic poses. The fossils have been replaced with iron pyrite or ''fool's gold'', and are well showcased on the large plate of roofing slate (almost a foot across!). And there is also a complete brachiopod, a distinct gastropod, and a partial Mimetaster arthropod and a partial Furcaster fossilsized on the plate - WOW! This is a highly collectible and extremely displayable multiple example of three complete fossil brittlestars and other animals from one of the most famous fossil localities in the world.
