This is a very nice plate of fossil fish from the Eocene of Wyoming. There are two excellent Diplomystus dentatus and two very nice Knightia eocaena on the plate. All of the fish exhibit wonderful detail. The bone structure is beautifully displayed and the fins are easily seen. The orangish-brown color of the fossils is totally natural, and the contrast with the cream-colored matrix is outstanding. The fish are naturally positioned on the rectangular plate of shale. This is a great display plate of two different fish from the Green River Formation.
