This is simply a beautiful fossil shark tooth. It is a large Carcharocles megalodon (Extinct Giant White Shark) tooth from the Atacama Desert of Chile. This specimen is large and impressive - over five inches long! The back of the tooth is naturally embedded in a block of solid, pebbled sandstone - the tooth sits over two and a half inches high on its natural stone base. The tooth itself is three-dimensionally preserved and displays beautifully. The color and detail are exquisite. And the serrations are extremely sharp and wonderfully intact. Not only is this a large, colorful fossil shark tooth, it is a sharply serrated tooth preserved in a solid block of rock. You can't get much more collectible than that!
Note: This tooth was in a major shark tooth collection for over seven years.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
