Very Impressive Burlington Crinoid - Cactocrinus

This is a great example of a rare Burlington crinoid. This large, robust calyx is Cactocrinus proboscidalis. This is a huge specimen that shows the plate structure very well. This fossil shows the many arm attachment points and the stem attachment point. The fossil is well displayed on thelarge matrix block that also contains a wonderful Cryptoblastus melo blastoid. This is a very fine specimen of a rare crinoid and blastoid from the Burlington Limestone.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
