This is a beautiful fossil flower from the Eocene of British Columbia. This specimen was acquired from a major fossil collection. Flowers are very rare in the fossil record because of their delicate nature. This is a very unusual Florissantia similkameenensis fossil flower. This is the one of the best examples that we have ever seen of this type. The specimen has great natural color and striking contrast. The flower is well centered on the plate of shale. This is a textbook fossil flower from British Columbia.
