Excellent Harpides with Amazing LONG Body

Age:  Ordovician
Formation:  Basal Upper Fezouata Formation
Location:  Dra Valley, Morocco

Price: SOLD

Specimen SS1043

This is a rare Moroccan trilobite. It is a fabulous Harpides sp. from the Ordovician Layers of Morocco. This fossil was microscopically prepared - the entire trilobite is raised above the surrounding matrix. The trilobite is complete down to the tiny tail (hard to see in photo). The strange trilobite is very well preserved and contrasts wonderfully with the sculpted matrix block. This amazing bug has very fine detail preserved on the cephalon - just look at those minute features! This is a very displayable Harpides, one of the more sought-after trilobites from Morocco at this point.
