This is a very uncommon US crinoid. It is a distinct Whanocrinus from Minnesota. This fossil was obtained from a major crinoid collection. The crinoid is very 3-dimensional and is very well articulated. The sea lily has great detail preserved on the arms and the calyx. The crinoid has great natural coloration and is well showcased on the rectangular plate of matrix. This is a very nice specimen of a rare crinoid from Minnesota.
