Here is a very rare fossil worm. This is Ottoia prolifica from the Marjum Formation of Utah. This type of priapulid worm has also been found in the famous Burgess Shale of Canada. This worm is large and very distinct - the dark coloration of the fossil is totally natural. The fossil worm is well positioned on the natural plate of shale. This is a unique specimen of a very rare fossil worm from the ''Cambrian Explosion''.
