Specimen SSAOK2

Now THIS is a cool Olenellid trilobite. This is a killer Gabriellus sp. from the Atan Formation of British Columbia, Canada. This trilobite looks similar to the classic primitive trilobite, MesonacisThe ancient arthropod is beautifully complete with the long opisthothorax intact, which is very unusual. The striking bug is extremely detailed - this is one of the best Gabriellus ever found. The trilobite is beautifully showcased on the large, colorful matrix plate. This is easily one of the most distinct and impressive Lower Cambrian trilobites we have ever had.
