Spectacular Pseudoscorpion Entombed in Amber

Name: Pseudoscorpion in Amber
Age:  Oligocene
Formation:  Amber Mines
Location:  Dominican Republic
Size: Amber piece is 0.55 inches long
Price: SOLD

Specimen SSA828

This is an extremely rare arachnid inclusion in fossil amber. It is a textbook Pseudoscorpion trapped in a fine nugget of Dominican Amber. The Pseudoscorpion was caught for eternity in the classic ''claws out'' position. The 'Scorp has great detail, as seen in the close-up photo. The large claws and many legs display beautifully. There is also a rare Mite preserved in the piece (not pictured). A complete Pseudoscorpion in amber is a rare find, but one this detailed and easily seen is almost never found (a small close-up photo is included at no charge).
