Here is a rare find. This is a large crocodile tooth from the famous fossil fish beds of Wyoming. The tooth is quite 3-dimensional and exhibits great detail. The shiny, corrugated enamel of the tooth is beautifully preserved and the pointed tip of the tooth exhibits hardly any wear. The dark brownish-black tooth contrasts wonderfully with the cream-colored matrix. The fossil is well presented on the plate of shale. This is an excellent specimen of an uncommon crocodile tooth from the Green River Formation.
