Siamese Twins- Araucaria mirabilis Pine Cone Pair

Specimen SS1107

This is a a very rare plant fossil. It is a fantastic Araucaria mirabilis Double Pine Cone from Argentina. This specimen is the Siamese twin of the Jurassic cone world.  This rare cone has one stem and two bodies.  It is in fabulous condition with well defined scales and overall shape. Double cones are probably a thousand times more rare than single cones! This is a very collectible fossil cone for the true fossil collector.



Note: Argentina has now banned the export of all fossils. We will strictly abide by and enforce this law - we will not acquire new fossils from Argentina. However, this fossil was collected and exported prior to this law, and can be sold legally.
