This is a beautiful specimen of Priscacara serrata from the Eocene of Wyoming. The large fossil fish has natural orange-brown color that contrasts beautifully with the cream-colored matrix. The fish has great bone structure and extremely fine fin detail - even the tail is fully defined. The fish is almost perfectly centered on the rectangular plate of matrix - ready for framing! This is simply a fabulous display example of this classic fossil fish from the Green River Formation.
