These unusual crinoids are from a relatively new site in Morocco. They are both Penterocrinus sp. from the Silurian crinoid outcrops. This type is very distinct, with extremely thin, branching arms. The crinoids have wonderful natural color and excellent contrast. The fossils are quite inflated and display beautifully on the reddish block of limestone. Both crinoids have long sections of stem preserved, which is highly unusual. This is a great double example of an uncommon Penterocrinus crinoid from Morocco. (Fossil is much better than the photo shows.)
