This is a very rare fossil plant. It is a distinct Hyacinth-like Flower from the Green River Formation. This specimen looks like a Hyacinth Flower stalk, with the florettes lining each side. This delicate preservation is extremely rare in the fossil record. There are also leaves and insects fossilized on the plate. This is a fabulous example of a rare stalk of Eocene flowers.
