This is a very unusual leaf from a very unusual locality. It is a large Ginkgo leaf from Siberia, Russia. This Lower Cretaceous leaf is very well preserved and finely detailed - the distinct venated ribbing is easily seen under magnification. The body of the leaf in nicely intact, and part of the petiole is also preserved. The leaf has great natural color and displays beautifully on the brick-red matrix. This is a fabulous example of an exremely hard-to-find leaf from this very obscure location.
