This is simply a beautiful fossil shark tooth. It is a very large Carcharocles megalodon (Extinct Giant White Shark) tooth from the Atacama Desert of Chile. This specimen is large and impressive - over five inches long! The tooth is naturally embedded in a block of solid, pebbled sandstone - the tooth dispalys beautifully on its natural stone base. The tooth itself is wonderfully preserved and is nearly pristine. The color and detail are exquisite. And, wow, just look at those serrations and tip! Not only is this a large, colorful fossil shark tooth, it is a sharply serrated, top quality Meg tooth preserved in a solid block of rock. You can't get much more collectible than that!
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
