Specimen SSS991

This is a HUGE framed fish. It is a fabulous Mioplosus labracoides from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. This predatory type is very sought-after because of its bold look and teeth preserved in the mouth. This fossil was extracted under a microscope to reveal the extremely fine detail. This beautiful specimen is extremely large (WELL OVER A FOOT LONG!) and has incredible detail preserved, better than most of this type. And the fish is well centered in the rectangular plate of oilshale This is a very impressive and displayable predatory fossil fish that has been professionally framed for optimal display.
