Formation:  Hell Creek Formation
Location:  Carter County, Montana

Specimen SSS980

This is the most sought-after type of dinosaur claw in the world. It is a very large Tyrannosaurus rex Foot Claw from Montana. This specimen was recently acquired from a major dinosaur fossil collection. The claw is large (over THREE inches long!) and very robust. The blood grooves are nicely preserved and easily seen on both sides, and the tip is intact and not broken. The contact end of the claw is well preserved, and the natural, dark brown color is simply gorgeous. T. rex claws of this size and quality usually sell for over $1500 an inch - this one is priced less than the going rate. This is a large, top quality dinosaur claw from T. rex, the most popular and collectible dinosaur in the world.
