This is a fine specimen of Abrotocrinus sp. from the Warsaw Formation. This specimen is from the sought-after Sunset Hills, Missouri site, not the much more common Adams County, Illinois site. The crinoid exhibits good detail - the plate structure of the cup is very nice, and the branching pattern of the uniserial arms is quite evident. The crinoid even has part of the stem preserved. The fossil has good color and contrast and is well presented on the rectangular plate of siltstone. This is a fine specimen of this inadunate crinoid from a very unusual location.
