Top Quality Comura with a Myriad of Long Spines

Name: Comura sp.
Age:  Devonian
Formation:  AM Limestone
Location:  Morocco
Size: Trilobite is 3.1 inches long
Price: SOLD

Specimen SSS951

This is a very, VERY spiny trilobite. It is a fabulous Comura sp. from the Devonian of Morocco. This specimen was painstakingly prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado. The ''look'' of this trilobite is truly amazing. There are about 40 vertical spines on this trilobite, and all of them have been prepared free-standing! This specimen is almost perfectly prone and wonderfully articulated. The long, sweeping pleural spines and pygidial spines are beautifully displayed - even the ''shovel lip'' snout has been prepared free-standing! The natural color of the bug is quite striking and contrasts well with the sculpted matrix. The trilobite is nicely showcased on the large plate of sculpted limestone. This is an extremely impressive, top quality specimen of this highly collectible trilobite from Morocco.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally. A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
