Here is an extremely attractive specimen of an Fagus sp. (Beech Leaf) from the Eocene of Canada. The leaf is huge and complete right down to the petiole. This leaf also has excellent detail preserved. The fossil is well positioned on the natural plate of shale. The dark-colored fossil has excellent contrast with the lighter-colored matrix. This is a huge example of a Beech Leaf from the Tranquille Shale of Canada.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
