This is a very nice hadrosaurid dinosaur tooth. It is a very fine Maiasaura tooth from Montana. This type of dinosaur is known for its motherly instincts - Maiasauras have been found fossilized protecting nests of eggs. The tooth is large and has very nice detail preserved. The tooth has beautiful, dark brown coloration and shows a long section of root, which is quite unusual. This is an excellent ''duck-billed'' dinosaur tooth from Montana.
