Specimen SS72

This is an impressive multiple trilobite plate. It is an extremely rare block with three HUGE Asaphid trilobites from the Ordovician of Morocco. This amazing fossil was meticulously prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab, as are all of our Moroccan trilobites. You may have seen large trilobites from Morocco before, but this one is different - it is a NATURAL multiple plate! One of the trilobites on the plate is especially nice. It is wonderfully articulated and exhibits excellent detail. All three fossils are also extremely inflated and 3-dimensionally preserved. The dark, brown-black color of the trilobites contrasts strikingly with the light-colored, sculpted matrix. And best of all, this slab is not composited - all of the trilobites are natural to the plate! To have three HUGE trilobites naturally fossilized together on the same rock, not pieced together, is practically unheard of.
