This is a very detailed Scyphocrinites sp. from the Silurian of Morocco. This type of Camerate crinoid has a large cup composed of many, many stellate plates and long arms that branch many times. This large specimen shows the highly ornamented plates and the branching pattern of the arms in fine fashion. The gray crinoid contrasts nicely with the red-brown matrix. The distinct crinoid also has an extremely long stem intact, which is highly unusual. The sea lily is nicely presented on the large, natural plate of limestone that contains MANY other crinoid stems. This is a very fine specimen of this ornate crinoid from Morocco.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
