This is a fine example of a fossil coral from the Pliocene of Florida. This fossil has been removed from the surrounding matrix so that it can be viewed from all angles. This 3-dimensional ''cup coral'' exhibits outstanding detail. The septae of the coral are beautifully displayed, and the point of attachment on the other side of the coral is easily seen. The white color of the coral is quite striking. This is a very displayable coral from the Pliocene of Florida.
