This is a spectacular trilobite fossil. It is a fabulous Dicranurus monstrosus and a very colorful Reedops cephalotes hamlagdadianus from Morocco. This amazing specimen was painstakingly prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Preparation Lab, as are all of our Moroccan trilobites. Dicranurus is known worldwide for its unique, spider-like appearance. This trilobite has its occipital ''Ram's Horns'' prepared fully free-standing, as are the LONG genal spines. This is one of the most symmetrical and highest quality Dicranurus we have ever seen. The Reedops is extremely inflated and has beautiful natural color preserved. Both trilobites were meticulously extracted from one solid block of rock - two killer bugs showcased atop a base of sculpted limestone. This is one of the most impressive display trilobite fossils we have ever prepared. It is hard to imagine a more displayable example of a Dicranurus monstrosus from Morocco.
