Specimen SS116

This is a fabulous framed fish. It is a large Diplomystus dentatus from the Green River Formation of Wyoming. This type is very sought-after because of its aesthetic, sleek look. This fossil was found in the ''18 Inch Layer'', a layer where the fossils have wonderful detail and great dark color. The fossils from this layer need to be extracted under a microscope to reveal all the detail. This beautiful specimen is large and has incredible detail preserved, better than most of this type. And, best of all, there is no restoration to this amazing fossil fish! This is a very displayable fossil fish that has been professionally framed for optimal display.
