This is a large specimen of Caryocrinites milliganae from the Brownsport Formation of Tennessee. The primitive echinoderm has been removed from the surrounding matrix so that it can be viewed from all angles. This cystoid is extremely inflated and exhibits very fine detail. The theca displays the plate structure very nicely. The thin, ornamented plates are all intact. The arm attachment points are quite evident. The stem attachment area is easily seen. This is an excellent example of Caryocrinites milliganae from the Silurian of Tennessee.
