Here is a very unusual crinoid from the Ordovician of Canada. This crinoid was found by Steve Hess in 1991. This crinoid has excellent plate structure. The arms are complete to the very tips and the long, fine pinnules are beautifully displayed. A lengthy, pentagonal stem is still tightly attached to the cup. The cream-colored crinoid contrasts nicely with the dark gray matrix. It is almost perfectly centered on the rectangular block of limestone. This is an outstanding example of this uncommon crinoid from Canada.
