This is a gorgeous double fish plate from the Green River Shale. The fish at the top of the plate is a fabulous Diplomystus dentatus. This fish has excellent detail. The bone structure and fins are superbly preserved. The fish at the bottom of the slab is a very large Mioplosus labracoides. This fish also has fabulous detail preserved. The full array of teeth in the mouth are very easily seen. Both fish have wonderful color and contrast and are well centered on the large, squared 16.5" X 17.0" slab of shale, perfect for framing. This is a very aesthetic display slab of fossil fish from Wyoming, one of the best qulaity doubles we have ever offered.
