This is a beautiful fossil shark tooth. It is a very large Carcharocles megalodon (Extinct Giant White Shark) tooth from the Atacama Desert of Chile. This specimen is large and impressive - about five inches long! The tooth is naturally encrusted in a block of solid, pebbled sandstone - the tooth displays beautifully on its natural stone base. The tooth itself is wonderfully preserved and very impressive. The color and detail are excellent. And the serrations are almost fully intact. This is a large, colorful fossil shark tooth from the sandstone deposits of the Atacama Desert.
