This is a beautiful specimen of Priscacara serrata from the Eocene of Wyoming. The fossil fish has natural orange color and contrasts beautifully with the cream-colored matrix. The fish has great bone structure and excellent fin detail, especially on the large dorsal fin. It is almost perfectly centered on a rectangular plate of matrix. This is a very aesthetic example of this classic fossil fish from the Green River Formation.
