This is an excellent multiple plate of crinoids from the Silurian of Morocco. There are two large examples of Scyphocrinites sp. on the slab. This type of camerate crinoid has a large cup composed of many, many stellate plates and long, multi-branching, uniserial arms. The detail of the inflated crinoids is exquisite. The plate structure is very apparent, and the long arms are extremely well defined, with the fine, feather-like pinnules beautifully displayed (see close-up #2). The grayish-black color of the crinoids contrasts strikingly with the reddish-brown matrix. The large crinoids are aestetially showcased on the natural plate of limestone - what a display piece! This is a very fine multiple specimen of this highly ornamented crinoid from Morocco
