Extremely Rare Pseudoscorpion Clawing an Insect

This is an ULTRA RARE amber fossil. It is a distinct Pseudoscorpion with what seems to be its claw embedded in an insect's body! The Pseudoscorpion may have been battling the insect at the time of death - note that the Pseudoscorpion is missing one claw. The Pseudoscorpion may have speared the insect, only to be immediately entombed forever in sticky sap from an ancient tree. This is an extremely rare occurrence in the fossil record. Both creatures have excellent detail preserved, as seen in the close-up photos. The Pseudoscorpion's segmented body and large claw display beautifully. The animals are easily seen under magnification trapped within the amber nugget. An extinct Pseudoscorpion in amber is a rare find, but one that shows the predator and prey relationship is almost unheard of! (two different photos of the piece are included for free.)
