This is a very interesting crinoid slab from a world-famous site. There are several examples of Parasangulocrinus zaeformis on this slab of roofing slate. These crinoids are characterized by a very small cup, thin branching arms, and a large anal sac. The crinoids are preserved as iron pyrite (fool's gold) on the black slate. The crinoids are nicely centered on the rectangular piece of matrix. This is a nice multiple specimen of Parasangulocrinus from the Bundenbach quarries of Germany.
