This is a beautiful Carcharocles megalodon tooth from the Atacama Desert region of Chile. The tooth has a very solid and substantial root. The serrations are easily seen and are razor sharp. The enamel is beautifully preserved and has great natural coloration. The back side of the tooth is partially encrusted with sandstone matrix - a nice touch. This is a very attractive and displayable ''Meg'' tooth from this unusual South American location.
